Aspire Twelves for distance running

Review by Paula on Mar 27, 2012; 02:48pm PDT
I bought my white twelves while training for a half marathon. New to compression, I was not sure whether the purchase would be worthwhile, but ever since I bought them, I've worn them on every long run. They are lightweight enough that I can wear them in heat, and they stay up well -- once they are on I don't have to touch them again until I take them off. Because they are on the thin side, I never get blisters and they don't move around on my feet.

I looked into compression because I've been building distance and by the end of my longer runs, my feet, ankles, and calves are tired. When I wear these socks, I don't have to think about my calves. They just feel good. They really are snug... so after 13 or 15 miles, I'm almost too tired to pull them off! Still, these socks were worth my money and I highly recommend them for distance runners. ASPIRE TWELVES are like hugs for your legs!

Aspire Socks the Best!!
Review by Cox, Marjean on Jan 30, 2012; 05:30pm PST
I just returned from Orlando, where I was helping my daughter-in-law at the PGA Merchandise Show. Standing all day on concrete floors is murder on feet and legs (especially when you are older). I found the Swiftwick booth and sales woman extraordinaire, Kira Cleveland, sold me on a pair of Aspire Twelves. Those socks are awesome! Twenty minutes after I put them on my legs and feet were celebrating!
I will definitely be buying more of your socks!
Many thanks!

Aspire Twelve RnR Miami Half Marathon

Review by Morrell, Tim on Jan 09, 2012; 08:32am PST
I am a long time believer in the Swiftwick line. I purchased my white Twelves just prior to the Miami Beach Rock n Roll Marathon. I had been wearing my black twelves on my longer runs during training and they really performed well. I did not want to change things up for the half, but was also concerned about wearing my twelves in warmer weather. I decided to purchased a white pair thinking it would reflect more light for the warmer Miami weather. On race day, we woke up to 74 degrees and by the start of the race we were at 80. I happy to report, my twelves remained cool and comfortable throughout the entire run. Post race, my legs felt really fresh. I would not hesitate to wear them again in warmer weather - not to mention the cool throwback look of white! Looks like I just aged myself.

Aspire Twelve Testers
Review by white, chris (Tennessee USA) on Dec 14, 2011; 06:50pm PST
I have more pairs of Swiftwicks than I can count, in every style and length. I wear them for cycling, hockey, work, really they are all I wear, I love them that much. I support Swiftwick, cause they support my communities that I am involved in, especially the cycling community and Ride for Reading.

Of all the pairs that I have, my favorites by far are my pair of Aspire Twelve testers that Mark gave me this past April at the East Nashville Beerfest. I have huge calves and Mark wanted me to test them and give him some feedback. I started wearing them after riding for recovery, but recently started wearing them while riding and have found them to allow my to ride longer and not need them as much for recovery. Of course I still wear them for that. I have also worn them on several plane trips and road trips, as recently as Thanksgiving. I drove to Baltimore from Nashville and back, 12hrs one way non-stop and they allowed my legs and feet to be the most comfortable they could be, sitting for twelve hours at one time.

I swear by Swiftwicks and will continue to support one of our local businesses.

Aspire Twelve Socks Rock!

Review by Rathbun, Laurel on Dec 05, 2011; 06:30pm PST
I have occasionally forgotten to put my Aspire 12's in my cycling bag and always regret when it happens. They fit perfectly and have just the right amount of compression. I can genuinely tell a difference when I wear them after racing. Oh, and I have been seen in a few airports sporting my Black Aspire Twelve socks with a skirt and hoodie.
