Town Lake Trails
If you’re looking for beautiful views on your Austin run, Town Lake can’t be beat. This park offers routes from 3 to 10 miles and is great for runners, walkers, bikers, hikers, kayakers, swimmers- you name it! The trails follow along the river, but you can also go over several bridges with some breathtaking views of the city. This park is clearly awesome, and a lot of people think so. Try to hit this trail at off hours to avoid crowds.
Barton Creek Greenbelt
The Barton Creek Greenbelt is 7.9-mile trail, plus an additional 800+ acres of park land. Barton boasts being the 7th best hiking trail in Austin. Barton Creek is known for its swimming holes (if you come at the right time of year), which is perfect for taking a dip after a run. Keep your eyes peeled for waterfalls too!
Lady Bird Lake
10 miles of trails border the beautiful Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. This is a great trail for mixing city and nature. This is the perfect place to run, walk, bike or even swim. There are even some exercise stations along the trail. You will likely encounter many dogs, so feel free to bring your fur baby!
