Conquering your pre-race jitters

No matter how much you’ve trained or how many races you’ve run, we all get nervous before big races. “Any runner who denies having fears, nerves, or some other kind of disposition,” said 1950s British Olympian Gordon Pirie, “is a bad athlete, or a liar.”

Race jitters can undermine your confidence and affect your performance if you let them.
