About the Scholarship
The Women’s Bike Mechanic Scholarship was created to do two important things:
- Develop and keep talented women working in the bike industry
- Better serve and grow women ridership through the Specialty Bicycle Retailers
“Attending UBI was a life changing experience. The technical knowledge and personal connections have been invaluable in the last year. It was a giant step forward on my own path in the cycling industry. And most importantly it’s inspired me and given me the confidence to open my own bike shop in Brooklyn.”
-Anna Maria Diaz-Balart
