What does it take to run SEVEN marathons on SEVEN continents in SEVEN days? More importantly, what do you pack?! Swiftwick athlete Becca Pizzi talks with the Wall Street Journal about her upcoming journey in January.
Run, sleep, eat, repeat. That’s the name of the game on the World Marathon Challenge, said Pizzi. But when asked if she was nervous or scared, Pizzi confidently answered she saw this as a test of strength and endurance and she was excited for the challenge.
Becca will be 1 of 15 runners taking on the challenge this year and the first American female to ever run it.
To prepare for the challenge, Becca runs between 70-100 miles a week. She will be running and recovering in the ASPIRE TWELVE. “I’m going to be in Swiftwick TWELVEs the entire time running, flying, sleeping,” said Becca. “The leg cramping is going to suck, but I know [the socks] will really help me!”
By running this incredible challenge, Becca wants to inspire the world and show that anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
