This pup’s bathroom break turned into one incredible day when he found his way into a half marathon and even won a medal.
April Hamlin of Elkmont, Alabama, let her hound, Ludivine, out for a bathroom break earlier this month. But instead of just getting her business done, Ludivine ended up sneaking out and running to the nearby Trackless Train Trek Half Marathon, where she participated in the entire race 13.1-mile-long course.
Ludivine turned out to be quite the runner, placing seventh in the race. She even received a medal for her very impressive time of 1 hour, 32 minutes and 56 seconds.
The hound left quite an impression on race organizers and participants. So much so that the half marathon, which was held for the first time this year, will be renamed the “Hound Dog Half” in honor of the pooch, race director Gretta Armstrong told the Huffington Post.
