The New York City Marathon is the world’s largest marathon. Even if you can’t join the 50 thousand participants and over a million spectators, there are more than a few ways to catch all the action. Runner’s World was even kind enough to list them for you:

On TV: NYC-area viewers can watch the broadcast, including prerace features, live on ABC7 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Viewers outside New York City can watch live English coverage on ESPN2 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or live Spanish coverage on ESPN Deportes+ from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A national highlights show will air on ABC affiliates from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On the web: In the NYC area, the prerace and race coverage will be available on and via the WatchABC app from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m EST. Across the U.S., you can find it on WatchESPN from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on computers, tablets, smartphones, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360, and Xbox One for those who have video subscriptions from affiliated providers. Additional coverage will be streamed live on ESPN3 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 12:30 to 2 p.m. International viewers can watch the broadcast from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on

On mobile: The race will be broadcast live on tablets or smartphones in NYC through WatchABC and WatchESPN nationwide. The app is available in the App store or Google Play store. You can sign up to track runners by text message or social media here.

On Twitter: Runner’s World be live-tweeting from the race from their @rwelites account. Follow for breaking news and updates. The preferred hashtag for the marathon is #TCSNYCMarathon.

From the streets: There’s no viewing to the public at the starting line, but NYRR’s spectator guide recommends taking the subway to 2-3 different spots throughout the race to see your runner. Viewing the finish line is only accessible to those who purchase a ticket. See the best locations to spectate, buy your finish line ticket, and read more tips in the NYRR’s spectator guide.
