If you don’t know what day it is, then you should maybe stop reading here. Today is the premier of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and there is no better way for runners to celebrate than signing up for a race!
In January 2015, Disney launched its first Star Wars race at Disneyland in California. The 2015 race sold out in just over two hours, according to Disney. Now- there is another.
In September, runDisney announced a new race that embraces the power of the dark side. “Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side” will have its premier race the weekend of April 14-17, 2016 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and the East Coast is so happy that they could kiss a Wookie (and he could use a good kiss!).
Even if you’re not the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, runDisney is offering a 10k, 5k and kids’ races in addition to the half marathon.
But the most important thing to remember when signing up for this race: Do or not. There is no try.
