If the journey is the destination, Steven Fox has arrived. He’s playing home for 2016- the Web.com Tour. Known as “The Path to the PGA Tour,” it is the final stop before reaching the ultimate summit of professional golf.
The winner of over 100 junior golf tournaments, Steven Fox turned professional in 2013 following a heralded amateur and colligate career that included one of the most dramatic comebacks in the history of the U.S. Amateur Championship. Down two with two to go, Fox rallied to win at famed Cherry Hills Country Club. After winning the World Amateur Team Championship with partners Justin Thomas and Chris Williams, Steven celebrated 2013 with appearances in three of the four major championships including the Masters and United States Open.
2014 and 2015 saw Steven splitting his time between the Web.Com Tour, PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamerica, as well as completing the trio of winning his home state of Tennessee’s amateur, match play and professional championships. Highlights of Steven’s travels on PGA Tour Latinoamerica in 2015 included a tie for 2nd with two time Masters champion Angel Cabrera at the Argentina Open.
Thanks to a successful run at Q-school finals, Steven Fox will bring his brand of emotional and exhilarating play to the Web.com Tour in 2016. At only 25 years old, Steven is part of the PGA Tour’s “Generation Next”= a group of red-hot 20-somethings that include Steven’s peers and junior and collegiate rivals Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. With name recognition and a strong social media presence, legions of fans follow Fox’s world wide travel from the side of a Volcano in Guatemala to the emerald green fairways of Augusta National. Steven Fox is climbing golf’s highest mountain. Join us on the way to the summit.
