Clothes4Souls, a division of Soles4Souls, the global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty, is excited to announce that Swiftwick will support their anti-poverty efforts by donating product from their RECOVERY line.
The Swiftwick contribution will be sent to the individuals around the globe who live in poverty and are at risk for diseases such as hookworm and malnourishment. This donation will help break the cycle of poverty by offering a sustainable income through micro-enterprise.
“At Swiftwick, we are passionate about helping others do what moves them,” said Elliott Cunningham, Swiftwick Vice President of Marketing. “We are excited to support charitable organizations, such as Soles4Souls, who are committed to this same goal.”
Approximately 1.2 billion people worldwide live in extreme poverty. 400 million of these people are children who will grow up without adequate clothing, resulting in significant ramifications to their health and well-being.
Soles4Souls distributes the used shoes and clothing it collects to micro-enterprise programs that create desperately-needed jobs in poor countries. The organization uses the resulting revenue to help fund direct relief efforts, including free distribution of new shoes and clothing in the U.S. and overseas.
“One of our main goals is to eliminate the perpetuation of poverty,” said Buddy Teaster, CEO of Soles4Souls. “We are grateful for each and every one of our partners who understands what we do and ultimately supports that mission by donating product. Swiftwick is one of the reasons why we can proudly keep doing what we do every day.”
