This Runner’s World editor ran 26.2 miles in a hot dog costume

What would you do for a world record? Would you take on a full marathon in an outfit a little, well, hotter? 

This past weekend, Runner’s World editor Meghan Kita ran all 26.2 miles of the Marine Corps Marathon wearing a hot dog costume. She is striving for the record of “Fastest Marathon Dressed as a Fast Food Item (female).”

What inspired her to go for such a crazy record?
